Hi!

I am a guitarist in Ottawa with a large focus on education and teaching. I love what I do and I am currently accepting new students.

Any style, age and skill level is welcome.
Whether you are a complete beginner, intermediate, advanced or are interested in pursuing music professionally, I have you covered! I have taught students their first chords, scales, songs, all the way to successfully preparing many students for university auditions. I have also taught professional musicians who are interested in expanding their influences and techniques.

I have a goal oriented approach. Lesson plans are customized depending on your abilities and level of commitment/lifestyle. Much of my time outside of teaching is consumed by creating lesson material for students. I have created my own unique methods for improvising, scale learning, rudimentary and advanced music theory, ear training and extended techniques. I believe everybody has different learning styles and my approach will be customized to you.

I pride myself in the vast amount of genres I am fluent in teaching. Anything from Folk, Pop, Rock, Metal, country Blues, Jazz, funk all the way to less common genres such as but not limited to progressive rock/metal, math rock, fusion, neo soul etc.

If you are part of the niche audience looking for extended techniques, I am all about it! I am happy to be proficient in speed training, alternate picking, hybrid picking, fingerstyle, tapping, thumping, slap guitar etc.

In am happy to aid you on your learning journey, whether you goal is to learn the latest pop songs, folk classics, rock classics, improve on your improv, learn jazz or learn the greatest mind bending techniques by players such as Tosin Abasi, Eric Johnson, Allan Holdsworth, Manuel Gardiner Fernandez, Tim Henson etc. There are lots of avenues to discover.

If this seems like something you would like, please feel free to book a no strings attached free 30 min trial by clicking the button above.
